Lean, Green and not at all Mean Juice
The juicing craze has hit ColorFUEL! Somedays, there is nothing more refreshing than starting an early morning with a big glass of green juice for some extra "oomph" to get us going. The recipe below can easily be modified to add more or less of any paticular green. We switch it up with kale, spinach, chard and sometimes use a lime vs. lemon. Be sure to refer to your juicer's directions on how to process as all machines vary. Note: when using spinach, try buying the bunches vs. the bagged variety. Not only are the bunches less expensive, but more juice is generated with the stems.
1 handful of parlsey
1/2 bunch of spinach
1/2 lemon (outside rind removed)
1/4-1/2 green apple
3-4 stalks of celery
Place in juicer and enjoy. Remember, fresh juices should be consumed within about a 1/2 hour of making. Be sure to stir well to ensure all flavors combine. Yum!
